(At my last doctors appointment my doctor said the baby had measured big at the ultrasound and since they are so accurate she moved my due date up to April 4th, so now my weeks will change over on Saturdays. Also, we call the baby Baby H because both of the names we have picked out start with the letter H. Don’t be confused when you read that and think that we changed our last name or I forgot how to spell)How far along? 12 weeks! I’m so excited, when I first realized I was pregnant 12 weeks seemed so very very far away. I’m almost done my first trimester!
Total weight gain: 6.5 lbs. No comment. lol!
Baby is the size of: A PLUM, A PLUM GUYS!! She/he is so big! I think she doubled in size over the last three weeks. She’s big, but she only weighs as much as one tablespoon of butter!
Gender Guess: Still going with girl. Wondering if I’ll feel bad about calling it a girl if it ends up being a boy? I’ll read back on all these posts and it’ll be very confusing. Maybe I’ll come back and make all the shes into hes.
Maternity clothes? Shane bought me a pair of maternity pants! I’m so excited, I just got them yesterday, so I’m going to wear them out today and be sooooo comfortable.
Stretch marks? Nope, but I’ve got crazy varicose veins on my boobs (TMI!) (Not cute, for the record)
Sleep: It’s been okay. I slept like a baby when Shane wasn’t here, but I wake up so many times when he is.
Best moment this week: Telling everyone! We finally got to spill the beans last night and it was incredible. We used skype to talk to my Dad and Grandparents because we wanted to see the reactions and it was absolutely priceless!! It fills us with joy that you are all as happy as we are! There was much dancing and elation and I loved every minute of it. Thank you to everyone who took time to congratulate us!
Miss Anything? Nope, not now.
Food cravings: Veggies, feed me all the veggies. I’ve still been nauseous a lot of the time, but I have been able to increase my veggie intake a lot. I started using an app called Ovia that asks for a lot of data everyday, like how much I’ve slept and exercised and how many servings of fruits/veggies, grains, protein and dairy I’ve consumed. It’s really motivated me to at least try and hit those targets everyday, but it’s hard! I never realized how little calcium and protein I was getting.
Movement: I can’t wait!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Lots of things, but it changes all the time.
Symptoms: Nausea, fatigue (but less so), thirst, chloasma (on my trunk and neck)
Looking forward to: Every day we’re a little closer to meeting baby, I’m so impatient.
Items Purchased: My sister send us two really cute hats and booties for Baby H, they’ve got teddy bears all over them. I already know baby loves them!
Hormone-Induced Titty Tantrums: Not really this week, thank goodness. I did have an major freakout at my standmixer yesterday, but I think that was less to do with hormones, more to do with it being broken.
Workouts: 2 – 750 metre swims and 2 long walks.
Number of Weird Dreams: Lots! I had a dream that I was fully pregnant and I was getting beaten on with a stick and another dream that I was breastfeeding someone else’s baby. Too weird!
