25 Weeks

IMG_9724How far along? 25 weeks, I honestly can’t believe it’s only 15 weeks until I meet her.  It seems so soon!

Total weight gain: OMG I don’t even want to talk about this.  19 lbs (*shutters*)  That’s almost three pounds more then last week, (according to my unreliable scale) YIKES!

Baby is the size of: A rutabaga, lol!  Or a head of lettuce.  She’s 13.5 inches and 1 1/2 lbs.

Gender: Hi Hazel Mae Trobacher!

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Sleep: Some nights are okay, others not so.  Three nights ago I was awake from 3:30am on, but last night I slept for 9 hours with only one little wake up.  It really depends.

Best moment this week: Feeling her kick like all. the. time.    Also, getting her room painted.  We finally made some progress on that room.  It’s the best feeling ever watching Shane and I fall so in love with this baby girl.  He talks to her a few times a day and kisses my belly.  There will be no mistaking it, she’s one loved girl.  Shane has also been great about making life easier for me this week.  I actually feel really guilty because it’s not like I’m doing anything.  I don’t work, I don’t have a kid, I should be able to manage one household.  But he tries to keep me off my knees (it hurts my back so much) and helps with the dishes (also kills my back), it’s sweet that he’s so concerned.  Also, back rubs, best thing ever.

Miss Anything? This was the first week I felt like the belly was really in the way.  I could work with it up until now, but I can’t sit without support or lean without opening my legs.  It’s gotten to that stage where it’s it’s own boss.  So I miss total freedom of my movement, but it’s totally still manageable, nothing worth complaining about.

Food cravings: Chocolate, veggies.  There have been so many sweets in the house lately that I don’t actually want anymore.  I’m already thinking of January and all those veggies.  Oh, and I had a dream about McDonalds the other night, so that blows, because now I really want some and I won’t get any until February (at the earliest).

Movement: One of my pregnancy apps said she will be most active for the next three weeks, and I think she’s already started!  It’s a constant party in my belly.  I used to have to sit, or lay down to feel her, but now I can feel her while I’m standing just doing my thing.  She’s clearly getting bigger and stronger.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Ugh, everything.  Mornings still suck.  I’m starving and queasy all the time in the am.  Take this morning, I had a bowl of bran cereal, half a large apple, half a bagel with cream cheese within two hours and I still feel like I could eat a horse.  All while feeling like I’m going to puke it up.  Yeah, not liking this part.

Symptoms: A few days this week I was so tired I could hardly function, others I had reasonable amounts of energy.  Obviously nausea, sore back, sciatica pain (not fun!).  Nothing major (thank goodness)

Looking forward to: Christmas this week!  We’ve got lots of fun things planned.  We’re hosting a white elephant on Tuesday and an open house on Thursday.  We’re going to see Big Hero Six on Monday, and I’m delivering Christmas treat boxes either Sunday or Monday.  Wednesday (Christmas Eve) I’ve made sure we have no plans, so we can prep for the party Thursday, but also so we can relax together and watch Christmas movies.  Some moments I’m totally gung-ho about all this, others I’m totally overwhelmed with the amount of work.  (This totally depends on how much energy I have at the moment I’m thinking about it.)

Items Purchased: Yesterday we bit the bullet and bought her mattress.  Now that the crib is set up, it seems to be time.  I also got a waterproof mattress protector.  While I was at it I added two little toys to my Amazon cart, so I can’t wait to get those.  (Don’t worry mom, we didn’t charge you for those.)  Yes, I should point out my very giving and wonderfully generous Mother-in-law paid for the mattress.  We’re so blessed.  While we were on a money spending binge (not really), we decided to buy the rug for her room.  This is the one we bought, I can’t wait to see it in person!

Workouts: I went for a half an hour walk yesterday and it was really nice.  I should get out more often.  It wasn’t even too cold!  Only -16.

Number of Weird Dreams: Some.  I really want a McDonalds cheeseburger and a small fries. IMG_9814

Love the instagrams,,very funny! I am curious, where will you deliver the Christmas treat boxes? I think the rug is a great choice with the yellow walls. But do you now still want a red and white quilt? It may be a good idea to rethink that. What do you think?
You look wonderful, and baby Hazel seems to be growing and vigorous. Your plans for Christmas sound great, you will have a good week! Our plans are much less ambitious, but we will make sure we visit with everyone over the holidays. Which will be wet, not white. Have a wonderful Christmas! Love you all.
