How far along? 28 weeks. Why is the end so far away?
Total weight gain: Ugh. I’m going to be so heavy by the end of this. I’m up 24lbs, 2 more than last week. My body loves extra padding, it always has, but this is crazy. I try my darndest to stay away from sweets, and make sure I’m eating my fruits and veggies. Clearly it’s not helping.
Size: 15 inches and 2.5lbs.
Gender: A girl, Hazel.
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Some good, some not. I’ve been so tired lately. And getting out of bed is so difficult. I miss being able to gracefully and with little effort get out of bed. When I’m lying in bed I’m just thinking about how much work it would be to get up. So I don’t.
Best moment this week: Going out for sushi with friends. It’s so nice to get out of the house, period.
Miss Anything? Nothing that wouldn’t make me sound whiny. I just can’t wait to meet my sweet cuddly baby, and with that have “me” back. Whatever that even means.
Food cravings: Chicken tenders and buffalo sauce. But Shane is always quick to indulge me 🙂 Pretty much buffalo sauce everything. And the blood oranges are amazing right now, I eat one a day.
Movement: She was very busy up until a few days ago. Now I feel her much less, and I miss her crazy movements.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve been okay this week.
Symptoms: I’ve been quite tired this week, but no real aches or pains. It was an uneventful week, but I’m very thankful for it.
Looking forward to: Buying a gliding chair for the nursery. While it doesn’t match the aesthetics of the room I wanted, (so far nothing has) it is considerably cheaper and more practical then the chair I really want. I’m thinking we’ll order it in the next week or two. Don’t ask me what we are waiting for, I’m never really sure. I’m also really looking forward to receiving my asos order. After observing how few colourful tops I had in my maternity wardrobe, I actually went online and purchased two and a spring dress. No idea if they’ll fit or not, but the return policy looked really good and that made me feel better about ordering. I’m hopeful!
Items Purchased: A bumbo, a baby bathtub and two cute tops off the bidding wars website in Chilliwack. I also bought blackout curtains for the nursery. While I was really hoping for something with a nice pattern that would help make the room more unique, the printed blackout curtains are just so darn expensive. These were $25 a panel, which is what I would have paid at Target and they’re just a cream colour, so they’ll do. Slowly but surely we’ll get the list checked off.
Workouts: I think I got five walks in this week ranging from 20-40 minutes, which totally depended on the weather. Our temperatures have been in the -20 to -30 range and if I go too long I turn into a popsicle.
Number of Weird Dreams: Depends how deep I’m sleeping. I did have a dream the baby was a boy earlier this week.
