How far along? 29 weeks.
Total weight gain: 26 pounds.
Size: This little girl is about the same size as last week, maybe a half inch bigger. 15.5 or so inches and 2.5 pounds. I do think she grew from last week (contrary to these numbers) but I don’t think anyone really has any idea just how much, all the website are so different. I measured my belly around the belly button and am an inch bigger than last week. *jaw on floor*
Gender: Our princess poopypants
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Well, not great. I’m getting plenty of hours, but it’s a very restless sleep. I feel like I’m always half awake – half asleep. Still not complaining though. It’s very cumbersome to move around in bed, so this wakes me up a lot.
Best moment this week: Paying off my credit card in full! We’ve been working really hard to get rid of our debt before baby comes, so now we’re just left with Shane’s credit card. (And somehow paying for the trip/all the baby stuff/and everything we’ve been waiting to buy because we can’t get it here, without going back into debt.)
Miss Anything? Not feeling so anxious all the time. Wait, that’s never happened. 😛 I also miss my thighs not rubbing together so much, I never had that problem before.
Food cravings: Chocolate, sweets, salty things. All the food.
Movement: I’ve been feeling her very low, under my waist line this week. Most belly pictures show baby upside down at this point, but I have no idea if she actually is. While I’m sitting I can feel her twisting and turning a lot. I love it! The other day Shane had his hand on my belly in bed and I reached to turn off the light. Shane was like “WHOA, she just like…jumped out!” I guess she was right under his hand and the turning motion stretched my stomach there so she was almost popping out. I love falling asleep with our hands on my belly, feeling her move and I’m going to miss it so much when it’s over.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I haven’t been eating as much at night. For months I woke up ravaging every. single. night and needed to eat something. Now we’re down to once or twice a week, woop!
Symptoms: I’ve been utterly exhausted doing pretty much nothing all day. I can only stand short periods of time before I get really sore. I’ve had some slight swelling in my legs and ankles. I’m finding the couch very low and difficult to get up from. Yesterday I brought a chair into our bedroom so I could sit while dressing and it’s made things soooo much easier! I also experienced what I think were Braxton Hicks contractions a few times. Usually I was standing when it happened, but my tummy would be hard as a rock for a few minutes and then soften again. They don’t hurt, so I don’t mind. I see it as progress. Oh! My skin has been getting a bit better the past two weeks. It’s not going away (and I don’t think it’s going to), but it’s much lighter and way less dry which equals way less itch! I’m so thankful for it. Medicated extra-strength gold bond for the win!
Looking forward to: I’m really looking forward to booking a ticket South soon. I think maybe with our next payday. Exciting! 7 weeks!
Items Purchased: We didn’t buy or receive ANYTHING this week, surprisingly. I pretended to online shop a lot, but because we’re so focused on paying off our credit cards it’s impossible for me to actually buy anything. I did work on refining our registry to things we won’t buy ourselves. Or items that we don’t need, but would really love to have. They tend to be the more expensive items, but we’ve always bought things in groups when I’ve been asked to contribute, so I assume others do the same.
Workouts: I went for a walk almost every day. The warmer temperatures have made it very enjoyable.
Number of Weird Dreams: Last night I dreamed I switched bodies with a prison inmate so I could fix her life. (Because I’m not in jail, so my life = awesome.) But she had really horrible teeth, so I kept showing everyone and explaining that it wasn’t me.
