32 Weeks

IMG_1429-2 How far along? 32 long weeks.  Only 8 more, give or take a few!

Total weight gain: I didn’t gain any weight this week, yes!  Still up 28lbs.

Baby Size: 19 inches and 4lbs!  What a little pork chop.

Gender: A little miss.

Stretch marks? I think those weird little red mark on my sides that you can see in the pictures might be the startings of some.  I’ve got a few more than last week.  Drat!

Number of Weird Dreams: All night, every night.  So much dreaming.

Sleep: My sleep was okay this week, I really can’t complain.  I’m generally uncomfortable when I wake up to pee or eat, but not in pain, so I’ll count my blessings.

Best moment this week:  We received a really nice gift in the mail, a collection of Dr. Suess books from my MIL, which was a real treat.  I got a few things done in the nursery, which makes me pretty happy.  And I got TWO foot rubs this week!

Miss Anything? This shirt fitting!  It’s my favourite top and it’s getting quite snug, especially in the chest-icals.  I wasn’t wearing it that much, because I didn’t want it to get worn out, but I don’t think it’ll fit much longer to be honest.  I had just been complaining about this to Shane when I opened a funny weekly email I get that read “I can pretty much guarantee that the shirts that no longer fit will be the cutest ones, dammit.”  Hahaha!

Food cravings: Munchies.  I just want bags and bags of salty chips.

Movement: Oh my gosh, she’s got a lot to say.  We’ve been loving to just lie there and feel her moving around.  Luckily she’s not much of a kicker, just a mover and roller.  I had a moment this week while I was sitting in a chair and feeling her move when I could distinctly feel a foot under my fingers.  I followed it around while it moved and every so often it would kick.  It was just so tiny and small, it fit under the pads of my two fingers.  I might have been the best moment thus far.  Shane could feel a little arm or leg moving and pressing up against his fingers the next night.  I don’t think it’s ever been more real for either of us.  Oh boy, we love her so.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve been pretty nauseous waking up in the mornings with an empty stomach.  Or if I eat a big breakfast I’ll have to lie down so I don’t get sick.

Symptoms: I’ve had some pretty strong Braxton Hicks contractions this week.  I’ve had a stuffy nose at night which makes a whistling noise and annoys the crap out of me.  She has been either using her hands or her head to hit my cervix (I think) which is quite painful, luckily she doesn’t do it that often. (Just a few times a day.)  My tummy feel so heavy it makes all  the muscles sore.  I’ve had a bit of pelvic girdle pain, but mostly because I’ve been going pretty hard at the cleaning and doing a lot more on my feet.  That PGP is pretty painful nonetheless!

Looking forward to: I’m really looking forward to my baby shower for whatever reason.  I think it’s going to be so fabulous to see all the women in my life I haven’t seen for months.  Also, they’ll get to see my belly, some for the first time.  Eeeeeek!

Items Purchased: I bought another bandana/bib for her with a 20% off coupon that came in the mail.  We also purchased some poster prints off etsy for her room (which I hung with tape on the walls until I can finally buy some frames from Ikea.)  Yesterday I bought the diaper bag I wanted with a 15% off coupon from Chapters and we finally purchased the baby monitor.  I was very particular about getting that monitor because of the temperature sensor.  I am really worried about her room being too cold, especially in the winter.  Those were two things I really didn’t want to spend money on.  Slowly this list is getting checked off.

Workouts: It’s been really really cold this week.  I think I went on only two walks, but I did do some vigorous cleaning, which counts when I’m this pregnant, in my book at least.IMG_1477-2
