How far along? 34 Weeks. The big day is getting closer!
Total weight gain: I’m up 1lb from last week, 33lbs total. (I’m looking at 40lbs when it’s all said and done I think, and am trying not to let that kill my psyche.)
Baby Size: 19-22 inches and 4.9lbs. Which means I’ve got 28lbs sitting on my thighs, arms and face. (Joking, of course, but only partially because just look at that picture.)
Gender: Our Hazel is a squishy little girl.
Stretch marks? Oh boy, do I ever. I’ve got three big ones forming (underneath my belly where I can’t see them) and a few smaller one too (on the sides of my belly). I will never be okay with this.
Sleep: It’s been decent. I did have one terrible night of heartburn where I couldn’t sleep at all. I ended up trying to sleep sitting up on the couch.
Best moment this week: I’ve been feeling pretty happy all week. So much is starting to happen now, it actually feels like time is moving. I found a prenatal yoga video that I’ve been loving and stretches me in just the right places. I look forward to doing it every time! It’s been warm enough here for me to venture into town without a coat (so like -5) and two different people commented on my belly! FINALLY! Both were people I normally see (like the post office lady) and neither had any idea I was pregnant, let alone almost due. Oh how different summer pregnancies must be. It makes me excited for going down south and having people comment because I won’t even have a coat!
Miss Anything? Bending over, getting out of bed, my face not being fat, not feeling uncomfortable contractions. MY REGULAR PANTS THAT DON’T FALL DOWN ALL THE TIME.
Food cravings: Just my normal eating habits, plus some extra sweets.
Movement: She’s moving less this week, but only because she has so much less room. She’s taken to wailing on my lady parts, which feel like they’re going to come apart.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve been nauseous in the morning and when I drink tea again.
Symptoms: Heartburn was a big one this week. I’ve had difficulty with the breathing thing. My body is exhausted all the time. I lay down a lot to manage the contraction discomfort.
Looking forward to: My final doctors appointment up here, and getting all my papers from them to bring to my new midwife. Shane’s birthday this week! Getting my to-do list checked off.
Items Purchased: I bought cloth wipes and a wet bag this week that both came already. Whoop!
Workouts: I tried my darndest this week because I was so unhappy with last week’s 4lb weight gain. I went on 6 – 45 minute walks and did 3 – 30 minute yoga videos.
