Happy Birthday to my Husband!
How far along? 35 weeks. This is actually my last update from Fort Nelson. This time next week I’ll be in Chilliwack! Expect the quality of photos to go down hill fast.
Total weight gain: Yay! Another 3 pounds this week. I’m on a friggin’ roll! (Or the rolls are on me!) Up 36 pounds total. Maybe my mom won’t have a scale, then I can just endure the weekly doctors weigh in.
Baby Size: 19-22 inches and 5.5lbs.
Gender: We have a little girl.
Stretch marks? They’ve been growing like weeds. I’ve got a lot of them now.
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping pretty well. I’m in a lot more discomfort when I lie down now. Pains in my back and legs. Also moving around in bed is a tremendous amount of effort. Sometimes I’m surprised I can make it happen at all. And sometimes I stop halfway through a move to rest. It’s pathetic.
Best moment this week: Getting the go ahead to fly this week from my doctor, receiving my medical file to bring down with me. It’s finally starting to happen!
Miss Anything? Feeling comfortable. Fitting into my clothes. Even my maternity ones don’t fit nice. Not having stretch marks.
Food cravings: I didn’t crave anything this week.
Movement: She’s been an active little girl this week. Last week for a few days my belly was in a constant contraction (and didn’t release) and I had a hard time feeling her movements. When I spent a few days doing less on my feet the hardness stopped. My doctor barely acknowledged what I said, so I guess there is nothing to explain there. I just make sure to lie down after lunch for a few hours in bed, have cut my walks down and am doing far less deep cleaning. Now I feel her all the time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve been queasy a few times this week, for no apparent reason. I’ve also noticed that caffeine gives me hot flashes and makes my heart race uncomfortably. I’ve been sticking to decaf and while I still get moments where I think my heart might beat out of my chest, they’ve been fewer.
Symptoms: Back pain, leg pains, exhaustion, nausea, peeing about 100x a day, contractions, crazy hunger pains and plenty of hormonal crying.
Looking forward to: Being down south! I’m so excited to see everyone again! I haven’t left town since November, so I’ve been fantasizing about just about everything. Food, coffee, movies, visiting, wearing shoes, not wearing a winter coat and blossoms.
Items Purchased: We didn’t buy anything for baby this week.
Workouts: I’d been doing good on my daily walks, especially when the weather was warm. (We had one day at 5 degrees) Then everything froze and became a solid 2 inches of ice under 2 inches of fluffy snow. I took one very dangerous walk in it. Then I skipped a day, the following afternoon I reallllly wanted to get outside, so I did. And then proceeded to fall flat on my butt in our driveway. The scared me into not going outside. Yesterday my friend brought over a pair or crampons for my boots, so I can’t wait to get out today! I also did yoga three times this week.
