37 Weeks

IMG_2159How far along? 37 weeks!  We made it full term.  Any time now, little one, any time.

Total weight gain: I only gained half a pound from last week, thank god.  Just a half pound shy of 40lbs total.

Baby Size: She’s 6.5lbs according to the internet.  I’m hoping she just stops gaining weight now.
Gender: She’s a she!
Stretch marks? Ugh.
Sleep:  I’ve had some supremely terrible sleep and some really great sleep.  It’s all over the map.
Best moment this week: My baby shower today!  (It hasn’t happened as of this writing, but it’s already awesome.)

Miss Anything? Not being so exhausted all the time.  Moving with some normalcy.  It’s just so cumbersome to move around.  Just a few more weeks and everything will be closer to normal.  I hope.

Food cravings: Just chocolate this week, but I think we’ve been keeping it reasonable.

Movement: Baby girl is right outta room!  Her movements are huge!  Her head is nice and low, her back is on my right side and a feel her knees sticking out a few times a day.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Any time I feel hunger I get nauseous, especially in the middle of the night and the morning.

Symptoms: Other than really intense braxton-hicks (that wake me up at night), nothing really.  Just exhaustion and general discomfort.

Looking forward to: Having her here!  It can’t come soon enough.

Items Purchased: Clothes!  I got a little panicky that she didn’t have enough, but we’ve purchased and received a few, so I’m feeling better.  I also bought things like wipes and diapers and the ingredients for her cloth wipe solution.  Also witchhazel and super maxi pads for me.

Workouts:  I have been walking at least once a day, and have generally been much more active since I got here.

I just want to give you a heads up that when you come through PG on your way home, I will be taking baby Hazel and not releasing her until you leave.

Post partum maxi pads are awesome. When your all uncomfortable, you get to stuff a 2 foot long 6 inch thick pad between your legs. Happy sitting. Seriously it’s enough bulk to qualify as a vehicle. I hope you got the ones with wings! Hahaha
