16 Weeks – #2

How far along: 16 wonderful weeks!  And this past week 15-16 was the fastest yet.  I don’t have a clue why, because we didn’t do anything different.  Time just sped up, and I’m super grateful.

Total weight gain: The past few weeks I’ve consistently gained a pound a week, so I guess that’s where we are at now.  I’m up 8lbs total.

Baby is the size of: An avocado this week 🙂

Maternity clothes: Why are maternity clothes so frumpy?  It seems like there is an unnecessary amount of flowers on everything I see.  I find I’m wearing the same few things that fit and I don’t feel good in any of it.  I’m just so uncomfortable and nothing is my style.  I’m excited to get into some thrift stores and see what I can find.

Sleep: Nothing special here.  I wake a few times a night for Hazel/pee/food.

Best moment of the week: Realizing how much less nauseous I am this time around.  I’m feeling consistently good every day which is NOT what happened last time.  In fact re-reading last pregnancy’s post for 16 weeks, my nausea was getting worse every week.  I’m so very thankful for that.

Miss anything: Oh my wine.  I put a bottle of wine I picked up in the Okanagan this summer in the fridge for Thanksgiving and shared it with a few friends.  That one glass of wine made me so happy!  I wish I could indulge a little more.

Food cravings: Nothing crazy.

Items purchased: This week we bought a video monitor and a sound machine/nightlight.  We had both of them delivered to Chilliwack, so they’ll be there when we arrive.  That way we can use them for this trip for Hazel, and leave them there for when we come down in March/April.  That sound machine looks so cool!

Anything making you sick or queasy: I had a bit of a rough morning yesterday, but I’m thinking I was fighting off a bug because Hazel threw up all over our bed 4 times the night before.  Thankfully I didn’t get sick!

Symptoms: Headaches.  I’ve had a few of these that needed medication to get through the past two weeks.  I’m also having more round ligament pain this time around.  It’s mostly happening at night, but it even wakes me up periodically.

Looking forward to: We find out the sex of this baby in less than 2 weeks!  I’ve also got a trip to Quebec City happening in 7 days that I keep forgetting about!
